How Much Does It Cost?
Asking the price
- 多少钱？— How much?
- 这个多少钱？— How much is this?
- 一共多少钱？— How much is it in total?
Chinese currency
- 元/块 (yuán/kuài) — yuan (1 yuan)
- 毛/角 (máo/jiǎo) — 0.1 yuan
- 分 (fēn) — 0.01 yuan (rarely used now)
Spoken price examples:
- 三块五 — 3.5 yuan (3 kuai 5 mao)
- 十五块 — 15 yuan
- 两百块 — 200 yuan
Reactions to price
- 太贵了！— Too expensive!
- 能便宜一点吗？— Can you lower the price a bit?
- 打折吗？— Is there a discount?
- 很便宜！— Very cheap!
Paying
- 我付现金。— I'll pay cash.
- 可以扫码吗？— Can I scan the QR code?

자주 하는 실수
多少是钱？多少钱？Drop 是 in price questions — it is not used
很贵太贵了！Use 太…了 structure for exclamatory degree
便宜一点能吗？能便宜一点吗？Modal verb 能 must come at the beginning of the question
三块零五三块五When there is only mao and no fen, drop 零 and just say 三块五
我给你钱一百我给你一百块钱Number + measure word + noun is the correct order
