To discuss topics like society and current affairs, you need these connectors:
〜について (about / concerning)
Used to introduce a topic of discussion.
- 環境問題(かんきょうもんだい)について話(はな)しましょう。 (Let's talk about environmental issues.)
〜に対(たい)して (towards / regarding)
Expresses an attitude or action directed at something.
- この問題(もんだい)に対して、政府(せいふ)は何(なに)をしていますか。 (What is the government doing regarding this issue?)
〜によると (according to)
Cites a source of information.
- ニュースによると、少子化(しょうしか)が進(すす)んでいるそうです。 (According to the news, the declining birthrate is progressing.)

環境問題をついて話しましょう。環境問題について話しましょう。The correct particle is について (ni tsuite), not をついて. に is part of the compound particle.
この問題を対して反対です。この問題に対して反対です。に対して requires に, not を. It means toward/regarding.
ニュースによると、少子化が進んでいます。ニュースによると、少子化が進んでいるそうです。When citing a source with によると, end with そうです to indicate reported information.
社会の問題について考えるのことが大切です。社会の問題について考えることが大切です。The nominalizer is こと alone. Adding の before こと is incorrect.
若者は社会に影響を与います。若者は社会に影響を与えます。The verb is 与(あた)える (to give/exert), not 与う. The correct polite form is 与えます.
