Contemporary slang structures:
- English words with Hindi grammar: मैंने उसे block कर दिया — "I blocked him" (English verb + Hindi auxiliary)
- Reduplication for emphasis: धीरे-धीरे, बड़े-बड़े काम — gradual/large things
- Tag questions in Hindi: यह सही है ना? — "This is right, isn't it?"
Abbreviations in digital Hindi:
- LOL → हा हा / 😂 (rarely transliterated)
