Writing a Report in Hindi
Formal Hindi reports use the formal passive and nominalisations extensively:
Formal passive (औपचारिक कर्मवाच्य):
- यह पाया गया कि... (It was found that...)
- इस अध्ययन में निष्कर्ष निकाला गया है कि... (In this study it has been concluded that...)
- सिफ़ारिश की जाती है कि... (It is recommended that...)
Nominalisations convert verbs to nouns for formal tone:
- विश्लेषण करना → विश्लेषण (to analyze → analysis)
- क्रियान्वित करना → क्रियान्वयन (to implement → implementation)
- मूल्यांकन करना → मूल्यांकन (to evaluate → evaluation)
Report structure in Hindi: 1. कार्यकारी सारांश (Executive Summary) 2. पृष्ठभूमि / परिचय (Background / Introduction) 3. पद्धति (Methodology) 4. निष्कर्ष (Findings) 5. सिफ़ारिशें (Recommendations)
Formal writing style: Uses Sanskrit-derived vocabulary, avoids contractions, uses third person passive, and employs formal conjunctions like अतः (therefore), इस प्रकार (thus), तदनुसार (accordingly).

- अध्ययन से यह निष्कर्ष निकला कि...The study concluded that... (formal passive)
- सिफ़ारिश की जाती है कि...It is recommended that... (impersonal passive)
- उपरोक्त निष्कर्षों के आधार पर...Based on the above findings...
- अतः यह स्पष्ट है कि...Therefore it is clear that... (formal conclusion)
