कूटनीतिक भाषा: We would be inclined to...
अंतरराष्ट्रीय वार्ता में कूटनीतिक अंग्रेज़ी चाहिए—ऐसी भाषा जिसमें संबंध बनाए रखते हुए अपने हितों की रक्षा करने के लिए हर शब्द सोच-समझकर चुना जाता है।
प्रमुख कूटनीतिक वाक्यांश
- We would be inclined to... → “हम संभवतः ... के पक्ष में होंगे।” (लचीला रुख)
- We would welcome the opportunity to... → खुलेपन का संकेत
- With all due respect... → विनम्र असहमति
- We find ourselves unable to accept... → कूटनीतिक अस्वीकार
- Might I suggest an alternative approach? → नरम ढंग से प्रस्ताव रखना
रियायतें देना
- While we appreciate your position, we feel that... → रुख को स्वीकारना + विरोध रखना
- We are prepared to make a concession on X, provided that... → शर्त के साथ रियायत
- In the spirit of compromise... → सद्भावना का संकेत
गतिरोध संभालना
- It appears we've reached a deadlock. → गतिरोध को पहचानना

सुनहरा नियम: अंग्रेज़ी वार्ता में विनम्रता कमजोरी नहीं है—यह एक रणनीतिक साधन है।
आम गलतियाँ — कूटनीतिक वार्ताएँ
- We don't accept your terms → We find ourselves unable to accept your terms at this time.
सीधा अस्वीकार वार्ता में बहुत कठोर लगता है। कूटनीतिक भाषा अस्वीकार को नरम बनाती है।
- You must agree to this → We would strongly encourage you to consider this.
कूटनीति में “Must” बहुत आदेशात्मक है। “Would encourage” कहीं अधिक कूटनीतिक है।
- That's our final offer → We believe this represents our best possible position.
“Final offer” एक अल्टीमेटम है। कूटनीति में बातचीत का रास्ता खुला रखा जाता है।
