सरल Reported Speech

जब आप बताते हैं कि किसी ने क्या कहा था, तो आप reported speech का प्रयोग करते हैं। यात्रा के दौरान किसी स्थिति को समझाने में यह बहुत उपयोगी है।

"told" के साथ (किसी से कहना)

हम told + व्यक्ति + that का प्रयोग करते हैं:

• He told me that the flight was delayed.
• She told us that we needed a visa.

"Told" के साथ हमेशा एक object चाहिए: me, him, her, us, them।

"said" के साथ (कहना)

हम said + that का प्रयोग करते हैं, बिना किसी व्यक्ति के:

• He said that the hotel was fully booked.
• She said the bus left at 8 am.

"That" अक्सर वैकल्पिक होता है: "He said the hotel was full" भी सही है।

"asked" के साथ (पूछना)

किसी प्रश्न को report करने के लिए asked + if/whether का प्रयोग करें:

• She asked if I had travel insurance.
• He asked whether I could speak English.

ध्यान दें: reported speech में शब्दों का क्रम सामान्य हो जाता है; प्रश्नवाचक क्रम नहीं रहता।

Tense में बदलाव

आम तौर पर verb एक tense पीछे चला जाता है:

• "The flight is delayed" → He said the flight was delayed
• "We can help you" → She said they could help us
