This connector pair shows cause and effect. Both clauses can appear together or separately.
- 因为 (yīnwèi) — because
- 所以 (suǒyǐ) — therefore / so
Examples:
- 因为我没有经验，所以很难找工作。— Because I have no experience, it is hard to find work.
- 因为工资高，所以我想申请这个职位。— Because the salary is high, I want to apply for this position.
Modal verbs for wanting and needing
- 想 (xiǎng) — want to / feel like: 我想找一份新工作。(I want to find a new job.)
- 要 (yào) — want to / will: 我要发简历。(I am going to send my resume.)
- 需要 (xūyào) — need to: 我需要更多经验。(I need more experience.)
All three come before the main verb.
