What C2 Mastery Looks Like in Russian
At the C2 level, you no longer just communicate — you craft. Your Russian should demonstrate:
Пунктуационная тонкость (Punctuation subtlety)
- The em-dash (тире) not just as a rule, but as a stylistic choice that creates pause, emphasis, or dramatic effect
- Semicolons to balance complex thoughts; colons to herald; ellipses to suggest the unspoken
Осознанность носителя (Native speaker awareness)
- Recognizing and avoiding the classic traps: одеть/надеть, класть not ложить, звонИт not звОнит
