Editing in Polish requires disciplined elimination of nadmiar slow (wordiness). Common errors: tautologies (cofac sie do tylu - redundant), pleonasms (fakt, ze instead of to, ze), and empty intensifiers (bardzo duzy when ogromny suffices). Good editing also improves sentence rhythm: vary length, avoid consecutive passive constructions, ensure each akapit tematyczny has a clear topic sentence. Spojniki logiczne (moreover, nevertheless, consequently) create cohesion. Final proofreading catches grammatical errors: verb aspect, case endings, and punctuation around subordinate clauses.
