Polish academic writing (pismo naukowe) follows strict conventions. Hedging language signals scholarly caution: wydaje sie, ze (it seems that), mozna zakladac, iz (one may assume that), badania wskazuja na (research indicates). Citation systems: Polish humanities use footnotes (przyp. dolne) while social sciences use author-date (APA). Passive voice is standard: zostalo wykazane (it has been demonstrated). Styl bezosobowy (impersonal style) dominates: nalezy stwierdzic (it must be stated). The przeglad literatury contextualizes research within existing scholarship.
