The で Particle — Means of Transport
Use で to indicate HOW you travel:
💬 Example: "バスで いきます" → "I go by bus"
- でんしゃで いきます → I go by train
- タクシーで いきます → I go by taxi
- じてんしゃで いきます → I go by bicycle
Exception: Walking uses no particle — あるいて いきます (I go on foot).
に のります — To Board / Ride
Use に のります to say you board a vehicle:
💬 Example: "バスに のります" → "I get on the bus"
- でんしゃに のります → I board the train
- タクシーに のります → I get in a taxi
To get off: を おります
- つぎの えきで おります → I get off at the next station
Note the particles: に for boarding, で for the place you get off.

バスを いきますバスで いきますUse で (not を) for means of transport
でんしゃを のりますでんしゃに のりますUse に (not を) with のります — you board INTO something
あるいてで いきますあるいて いきますWalking doesn't use で — just あるいて いきます
バスで のりますバスに のりますで marks method, but のります needs に (boarding into)
おります で つぎ えきつぎの えきで おりますStation comes first + で, then the verb おります
