Discussing Scientific Discoveries in Hindi
At B2 level, you can discuss complex scientific topics. Hindi uses many Sanskrit-derived terms for science:
- अनुसंधान (anusandhaan) — research, often used in formal/academic contexts
- प्रयोगशाला (prayogshaalaa) — laboratory
- परिणाम (parinaam) — result/outcome
Passive voice in scientific writing:
- यह खोजा गया (yah khojaa gayaa) — "it was discovered" (masculine)
- यह खोजी गई (yah khojee gaee) — "it was discovered" (feminine)
- प्रमाणित किया गया है (pramaanit kiyaa gayaa hai) — "it has been proven"
Expressing causation:
- इस कारण (is kaaran) — "for this reason"
- इसके फलस्वरूप (iske phalasvaroop) — "as a result of this"
- जिसके परिणामस्वरूप (jiske parinaamsvaroop) — "as a consequence of which"
Example: वैज्ञानिकों द्वारा एक नई खोज की गई है।
(vaigyanikon dvaaraa ek naee khoj kee gaee hai.)
"A new discovery has been made by scientists."
Note: In Hindi scientific writing, the ergative construction with द्वारा (dvaaraa — "by") is commonly used for passive sentences.

常见错误
वैज्ञानिक ने खोज कियावैज्ञानिक ने खोज कीखोज is feminine, so the verb must agree: की not किया
प्रयोग को करा गयाप्रयोग किया गयाUse किया गया (was done) for passive, not करा गया (was made to do — causative)
यह सिद्धांत सही साबित हुईयह सिद्धांत सही साबित हुआसिद्धांत is masculine, so use हुआ not हुई
अनुसंधान का परिणाम दिखाता है किअनुसंधान के परिणाम दिखाते हैं किपरिणाम here is plural (results), so verb must be plural too
