用英语谈论一本书
高级叙事：过去完成时与 "used to"
在 B2 阶段，谈论小说时，你会用较高级的英语叙事时态来描述事件，并说明各个动作之间的先后关系。
#### 过去完成时（past perfect）
过去完成时表示某个动作发生在另一个过去事件之前：
- By the time the detective arrived, the killer had already escaped.
- She realised she had read this passage before, years ago.
- The protagonist hadn't expected such a brutal ending.
#### "Used to"（已不再存在的习惯）
英语 "used to" 描述过去的习惯或状态，而这些习惯或状态如今已不成立：
- The author used to write only at night, in complete silence.
- The character used to trust everyone — until the betrayal.
- They used to meet at the library every Sunday.
注意：英语 "used to" 只用于过去。表达现在的习惯时，用 "usually" 或 "tend to"。
分析叙述视角
- First-person narrator —— I：内在视角，但信息有限
- Third-person narrator —— he/she/they：距离感更强
- Unreliable narrator：不完全可信的叙述者（Gone Girl、The Remains of the Day）
