常见错误

• ✗Despite of the advantages, it is hard.
  ✓Despite the advantages, it is hard.

  despite 后面直接跟名词或名词短语，不加 of。

• ✗However it is expensive, it is worth it.
  ✓However, it is expensive, but it is worth it. / Although it is expensive, it is worth it.

  however 不能像 although 那样引出从句，它放在主句开头，后面加逗号。

• ✗The drawbacks overweigh the benefits.
  ✓The drawbacks outweigh the benefits.

  正确的动词是 outweigh（胜过），英语里没有 overweigh 这个说法。

• ✗On the other side,...
  ✓On the other hand,...

  固定搭配是 on the other hand，不是 on the other side。

• ✗The advantage is that...
  ✓One advantage is that...

  众多优点中的一个用 one advantage，用 the 会显得只有这一个。

• ✗It has more cons that pros
  ✓It has more cons than pros

  比较级用 than，that 是引导词，两个别混。
