有礼貌地跟别人争论
到 B1，难的不是会说「我不同意」，而是不同意的同时不让对方下不来台。英语的习惯是：先承认对方说得有道理，再提出自己的看法。
先让一步
- I see your point, but... → 我明白你的意思，不过……
- I understand what you're saying, however... → 我懂你说的，然而……
- That's a valid point, but... → 这个说法站得住脚，但是……
- I have to admit that... but... → 我得承认……不过……
- You have a point there, but... → 这一点你说得对，但是……
客气地表示不同意
- I'm not sure I agree with that. → 我不太确定我同意。
- I see it differently. → 我的看法不一样。
- I'm afraid I disagree. → 恐怕我不能同意。
- With respect, I think... → 恕我直言，我认为……
找个折中
- Perhaps we could agree that... → 也许我们可以在……上取得一致
- Can we find a middle ground? → 我们能不能各退一步？
"I'm afraid I disagree." → "恐怕我不能同意。"
英语靠句式本身变委婉（I'm afraid、I'm not sure），而不是像汉语那样靠「其实」「可能」这类语气词托一下。直接说 You are wrong 在英语讨论里分量很重，接近翻脸。
表达
- I see your point, but...先认同，再委婉反驳
- I'm afraid I disagree.正式场合客气地表示反对
- That's a valid point.承认对方的论点成立
- I have to admit that...坦率地承认一个事实
- Perhaps we could agree that...提出一个折中方案
- With respect, I think...正式场合委婉地提出异议
- With all due respect恕我直言，我不同意。
- That's a fair point这话有道理，不过你想想这点。
常见错误
I am disagree with you.I disagree with you.disagree 是动词，不是形容词，不能说 I am disagree。
I see your point of view, but...I see your point, but...常用说法是 I see your point；point of view 存在，但在这个语境里少用。
With all respect, I think...With respect, I think...固定说法是 with respect，或者完整的 with all due respect，没有 with all respect。
I afraid I disagree.I'm afraid I disagree.I'm afraid 是固定表达，be 动词不能省，它是 I am afraid 的缩写。
I am not agreeI don't agree / I disagreeagree 是实义动词，否定要用 don't，不能用 am not。
You are wrong because...I see it differently because...在辩论里直说 You are wrong 很不客气，换成 I see it differently 更得体。
