Possessive pronouns
- mijn → my (Mijn moeder heet Anna)
- jouw / je → your informal (Jouw broer is groot)
- uw → your formal (Uw zoon is lief)
- zijn → his (Zijn vader woont in Amsterdam)
- haar → her (Haar zus is jong)
- ons / onze → our (Ons huis is klein / Onze familie is groot)
- hun → their (Hun kinderen zijn leuk)
Note: "ons" is for het-words, "onze" for de-words: ons huis, onze familie.
The verb "hebben" (to have)
- ik heb → I have
- jij hebt / je hebt → you have
- u heeft → you have (formal)
- hij/zij heeft → he/she has
- wij hebben → we have
- jullie hebben → you (plural) have
- zij hebben → they have
Example: "Ik heb twee broers en een zus" = I have two brothers and a sister.

常见错误
Ik heb een zus grootIk heb een grote zusIn Dutch, adjectives come BEFORE the noun: een grote zus (a big sister), not zus groot.
Mijn vader heb twee broersMijn vader heeft twee broers"Vader" is third person (hij), so use "heeft", not "heb".
Zijn moeder van Jan is liefDe moeder van Jan is liefDon't combine "zijn" and "van Jan" — that's redundant. Use one or the other.
Ik heb geen broers of zusIk heb geen broers of zussenAfter "of" (or), "zussen" should also be plural to match "broers".
Ons familie is grootOnze familie is groot"Familie" is a de-word, so use "onze", not "ons". "Ons" is for het-words.
