Talking About Friends
The plural marker 们 (men)
Add 们 to pronouns and some nouns to make them plural.
- 我 (I) → 我们 (we)
- 你 (you) → 你们 (you all)
- 他 (he) → 他们 (they)
- 朋友 (friend) → 朋友们 (friends)
也 (yě) — also / too
Put 也 before the verb, not at the end of the sentence.
- 她也是学生。 (Tā yě shì xuésheng.) → She is also a student.
- 他也很高。 (Tā yě hěn gāo.) → He is also tall.
Knowing vs. meeting
- 认识 (rènshi) — to know a person, to be acquainted
- 见面 (jiànmiàn) — to meet (in person)
💬 Example: "我们是好朋友，我们一起玩。" (Wǒmen shì hǎo péngyou, wǒmen yīqǐ wán.) → "We are good friends, we hang out together."
表达
- 我们是老朋友了Saying you are long-time friends
- 你认识他吗？Asking if someone knows a person
- 我们一起去吧Suggesting going somewhere together
- 他也是我的好朋友Saying someone is also a good friend
- 我有很多朋友Saying you have many friends
- 你们都是我的朋友Addressing a group as your friends
常见错误
他们们他们Don t add 们 twice — 他们 is already plural
她也是很好她也很好也 goes before 很, after the subject
我认识他的名字我知道他的名字认识means know a person, 知道 means know a fact
我朋友们我的朋友们Need 的 before 朋友们 for possession
也我喜欢我也喜欢也 goes after subject before verb, never at sentence start
