Asking about sizes
- Que tamanho é? — What size is it?
- Tem no tamanho M? — Do you have it in size M?
- É pequeno/grande demais. — It's too small/big.
- Tem um tamanho maior? — Do you have a bigger size?
- Tem um tamanho mais pequeno? — Do you have a smaller size?
Sizes in Portugal
- XS — Extra pequeno
- S — Pequeno
- M — Médio
- L — Grande
- XL — Extra grande
Trying on clothes
- Posso experimentar? → Can I try it on?
- Onde é o provador? → Where is the fitting room?
- Fica-me bem. → It fits me well.
- Não me fica bem. → It doesn't fit me.
Buying decisions
- Levo este/a. → I'll take this one.
- Vou pensar. → I'll think about it.
Tip: In Portuguese, "calças" (trousers) is always plural, just like in English.
