Near-native Polish fluency at C2 level means more than accuracy. It means thinking in Polish without mental translation, responding spontaneously without planning, understanding humor and sarcasm in real time, and feeling cultural context intuitively. Key strategies include: immersing in authentic Polish media (films, podcasts, literature), practicing thinking aloud in Polish, maintaining a journal in Polish, engaging in emotionally charged conversations with native speakers, and consuming current Polish media to stay updated with evolving slang and references. A near-native speaker also knows what they do NOT say - socially inappropriate phrases, outdated expressions, and regional terms outside their scope.
