Adjectives with "sein"
When an adjective follows the verb sein (to be), it does not change form:
- Er ist groß. — He is tall.
- Sie ist klein. — She is short.
- Sie sind nett. — They are nice.
Describing Hair and Eyes
Use haben (to have) for physical features:
- Er hat blaue Augen. — He has blue eyes.
- Sie hat lange Haare. — She has long hair.
- Er hat kurze, braune Haare. — He has short, brown hair.
Note: When adjectives come before a noun, they get an ending (here -e or -en). At A1 level, just memorize common phrases.

- lang ↔ kurz (long ↔ short)
- dick ↔ dünn (thick ↔ thin)
