Talking About Movies and Going to the Cinema
Korean has useful structures for discussing films and buying tickets.
- 어떤 영화 보고 싶어요? — What movie do you want to see? (-고 싶다 = want to)
- 이미 봤어요 — I already saw it (past tense -았/었어요)
- 재미있었어요 / 재미없었어요 — It was fun / not fun
- 무섭다 → 무서웠어요 — It was scary (adjective past tense)
- 두 장 주세요 — Two tickets please (장 = flat-item counter)
- 몇 시에 시작해요? — What time does it start?
- Opinion patterns: -것 같아요 (seems like), -다고 생각해요 (I think that)
- 한국어 자막이 있어요? — Are there Korean subtitles?
