This lesson covers digital life vocabulary and expressing habits with frequency adverbs.
Talking about online habits: Je passe beaucoup de temps sur les réseaux sociaux (I spend a lot of time on social media). Use passer du temps à + infinitif: Je passe du temps à regarder des vidéos (I spend time watching videos).
Frequency adverbs: toujours (always), souvent (often), parfois / quelquefois (sometimes), rarement (rarely), jamais (never). They usually go after the conjugated verb: Je vérifie souvent mes notifications (I often check my notifications).
Ne… jamais: Je ne publie jamais de photos personnelles (I never post personal photos). Remember: de replaces des in negative sentences.
Expressing opinion about technology: Je trouve que les réseaux sociaux sont… (I find that social media is…), Il me semble que… (It seems to me that…).
Digital well-being vocabulary: la dépendance (addiction), une détox numérique (digital detox), le temps d'écran (screen time), débrancher (to unplug).
