  After ik wou dat, use past perfect (had + past participle), not present perfect.

• ✗Het spijt mij dat ik heb dit gedaan

  In a dat-clause, the auxiliary heb goes to the end of the clause.

• ✗Was het maar dat we konden het terugdraaien
  ✓Was het maar zo dat we het konden terugdraaien

  The fixed expression is was het maar zo dat, and in the subordinate clause the verb goes to the end.

• ✗Ik wou dat ik zou niet hebben gezegd
  ✓Ik wou dat ik het niet had gezegd

  Do not use zou in ik wou dat clauses; use the past perfect directly.
