Common mistakes

  Academic in-text citation in Hindi places the year in parentheses directly after the author name, following international conventions

• ✗उन्होंने कहा (no antecedent clear)
  ✓शर्मा (2019) ने कहा / लेखक ने कहा

  Pronoun reference must be unambiguous in academic citation; always name the source explicitly

• ✗यह विचार सही है क्योंकि बहुत लोगों ने कहा

  Vague attribution without specific sources is not accepted in academic Hindi writing
