Advanced Polish idiomatic expressions often cannot be understood from their literal meaning. Common categories include body-part idioms (miec cos na glowie - to have something on one head / to be responsible for something), animal idioms (kupic kota w worku - to buy a cat in a bag / to buy something sight unseen), and color idioms (widziec wszystko w rozowych barwach - to see everything in pink colors / to be optimistic). Mastering these idioms requires not only knowing their meanings but understanding the cultural and emotional connotations. Native speakers use idioms naturally to convey nuance and humor. At C2 level, you should use them spontaneously and correctly in context.
표현
