Seasons in Polish

Seasons with prepositions:

*na wiosnę* — in spring (accusative)
*latem* — in summer (instrumental)
*jesienią* — in autumn (instrumental)
*zimą* — in winter (instrumental)

Weather expressions:

*Pada deszcz* — It is raining (literally: rain is falling)
*Pada śnieg* — It is snowing
*Jest zimno/ciepło/gorąco* — It is cold/warm/hot
*Wieje wiatr* — The wind is blowing

Comparing seasons:

*Lato jest cieplejsze niż wiosna* — Summer is warmer than spring
*Zima jest najzimniejszą porą roku* — Winter is the coldest season
