Reading and discussing contracts in Korean requires mastery of formal obligation structures and legal passive forms.

Key grammar points:

-하여야 한다 — Formal "must / is obligated to." Used in legal and official documents to state requirements.
계약자는 기한 내에 납부하여야 한다. (The contractor must pay within the deadline.)
-되었다 (passive perfect) — Indicates something has been formally completed or established.
계약이 체결되었다. (The contract has been concluded.)
-(으)ㄹ 필요가 있다 — "There is a need to..." Used to recommend careful review.
모든 조항을 꼼꼼히 읽을 필요가 있다. (There is a need to read all clauses carefully.)
-다고/라고 (indirect speech) — Reports what a contract states or what was said during negotiations.
계약서에는 3개월 전에 통보하여야 한다고 명시되어 있다. (The contract specifies that notice must be given 3 months in advance.)

Cultural note: Korean contracts use formal written style (문어체). Always use -하여야 한다 instead of -해야 해 in contractual contexts.

This is a condition (if breached), so use -(으)면. -아서/어서 marks an actual cause, which doesn't fit a hypothetical here.
