Ich nehme die Suppe als Vorspeise. — I will have the soup as a starter.
Als Hauptgericht hätte ich gern das Schnitzel. — For the main course, I would like the schnitzel.
Asking About Dishes
- Was ist in dem Gericht? — What is in the dish?
- Ist das scharf? — Is that spicy?
- Haben Sie etwas ohne Fleisch? — Do you have something without meat?
