Handling difficult questions requires polite deflection and reframing strategies that maintain your credibility while addressing concerns.
Polite deflection:
- *C'est une excellente question. Permettez-moi de...* (That's an excellent question. Allow me to...)
- *Je comprends votre préoccupation, cependant...* (I understand your concern, however...)
- *Cette question mérite un développement plus approfondi.* (This question deserves further elaboration.)
Reframing strategies:
- *Si je reformule votre question...* (If I rephrase your question...)
- *La vraie question est plutôt...* (The real question is rather...)
- *Pour recadrer le débat...* (To reframe the debate...)
Acknowledging without conceding:
- *Vous soulevez un point important, mais...* (You raise an important point, but...)
- *Je reconnais que..., néanmoins...* (I acknowledge that..., nevertheless...)
- *Certes, toutefois il faut nuancer.* (Certainly, however we must nuance.)
Redirecting:
- *Ce qui est fondamental ici, c'est...* (What is fundamental here is...)
- *Revenons au cœur du sujet.* (Let's return to the heart of the matter.)
The key is to *reconnaître* the question's validity while *recadrer* it to your advantage.

Je ne veux pas répondre à ça.Cette question mérite un développement approfondi.Never refuse directly; reframe to maintain credibility.
