좋은 영어 연설은 한국어 발표처럼 청중이 길을 잃지 않게 구조를 미리 보여 줘요.

1. Hook으로 주의를 끌어요. 2. Thesis로 입장을 밝히고, 3. first, then, finally로 로드맵을 제시해요. 4. 각 부분을 명시적 전환으로 연결해요. 5. 요약과 call to action으로 마쳐요.

anaphora는 절 앞부분을 반복하는 기법이고, tricolon은 세 항목을 묶어 기억에 남게 해요. 한국어에서도 세 번 반복하거나 세 갈래로 나누면 힘이 생기듯, 영어에서도 효과적이에요.

Turning now to my second point...처럼 signpost를 쓰면 청중이 논리를 따라가기 쉬워요. 속도와 침묵을 바꿔 중요한 부분을 살리세요.
