英語でビジネスレポートを書く

レポートの構成

英語のプロフェッショナルなレポートは通常、次の構成に従います： 1. Title page — 日付と著者を含む表紙 2. Executive summary — 要点の概要（最大1ページ） 3. Introduction — 背景・目的・範囲 4. Methodology — データ収集方法 5. Findings — 分析結果 6. Recommendations — 提案するアクション 7. Appendix — 補足データ

トーンとレジスター

プロフェッショナルなレポートはフォーマルで非人称的なスタイルを使います：

受動態を優先する：*"It was found that..."*（*"We found that..."*より好ましい）
慎重な助動詞を使う：*"The data suggests...", "It would appear that..."*
短縮形を避ける：*"it's"*ではなく*"it is"*と書く

セクション別の便利なフレーズ

Introduction: *"The purpose of this report is to..."*
Findings: *"The data indicates that... / Analysis reveals..."*
Recommendations: *"It is recommended that... / We propose that..."*

to fall within the scope ofレポートに含まれる範囲を示す
to put forward a recommendation提言を正式に提案する

よくある間違い

"composed"の後には"of"を使います（〜から構成される）。"by"は著者を示します。

"analysis"は名詞です。動詞は"to analyse"で、過去形は"analysed"です。

The findings show that sales have increased
"findings"は複数名詞なので、動詞も複数形"show"にします。
~~I recommend to implement a new system~~
I recommend implementing a new system
"recommend"の後には動名詞（-ing形）を使います。"to"付き不定詞は使えません。
~~According with the data, sales increased.~~
According to the data, sales increased.
accordingの後の正しい前置詞はtoであり、withではありません。

consist ofは能動態の動詞で、wasを使った受動態にはしません。
