Giving advice: deberías / no deberías

The conditional form of deber is used to give friendly advice — like "you should" or "you shouldn't" in English:

Deberías practicar todos los días. → You should practise every day.
No deberías traducir palabra por palabra. → You shouldn't translate word by word.

The conjugation is regular:

yo → debería
tú → deberías
él/ella → debería
nosotros → deberíamos
ellos/ustedes → deberían

Example: "Deberías escuchar podcasts en español." → "You should listen to podcasts in Spanish."

Expressing duration: llevo + gerund + desde...

To say how long you have been doing something, use llevar in the present + gerund:

Llevo dos años aprendiendo español. → I have been learning Spanish for two years.
Llevo estudiando desde enero. → I have been studying since January.

The structure is: llevo + time / desde + gerund (-ando / -iendo)

Example: "Llevo seis meses practicando la pronunciación." → "I have been practising pronunciation for six months."
Example: "¿Cuánto tiempo llevas aprendiendo español?" → "How long have you been learning Spanish?"

Llevo dos años aprendiendo español.
The time expression goes between llevo and the gerund. The subject pronoun yo is optional.
~~Deberías a practicar más.~~
Deberías practicar más.
Deber does not take the preposition a before the infinitive.
~~Quiero mejorar mi acento de español.~~
Quiero mejorar mi acento en español.
Use en (not de) when referring to a language: acento en español.
~~Hago muchos errores.~~
Cometo muchos errores.
In Spanish you commit errors (cometer errores), not make them.
~~Mi pronunciación es muy mal.~~
Mi pronunciación es muy mala.
Mal is an adverb; the adjective form mala must agree with the feminine noun pronunciación.
