Present Indicative
Portuguese regular verbs follow three conjugation patterns based on their ending (-ar, -er, -ir):
-ar verbs (e.g., acordar — to wake up):
- eu acordo, tu acordas, ele acorda
-er verbs (e.g., comer — to eat):
- eu como, tu comes, ele come
-ir verbs (e.g., dormir — to sleep):
- eu durmo, tu dormes, ele dorme
💬 Example: "Eu acordo às sete horas." → "I wake up at seven."
Adverbs of Frequency
- sempre → always: "Eu sempre tomo o pequeno-almoço."
- nunca → never: "Eu nunca durmo tarde."
- às vezes → sometimes: "Às vezes trabalho em casa."
These adverbs usually come before the verb.
