Expressing pain - boleć (to hurt/ache):
- Boli mnie głowa. → My head hurts. (lit. the head hurts me)
- Boli mnie brzuch. → My stomach hurts.
- Bolą mnie nogi. → My legs hurt. (plural: bolą)
Important pattern:
- singular body part → boli mnie
- plural body parts → bolą mnie
Other health verbs:
- czuć się → to feel (czuję się dobrze = I feel well)
- boleć → to hurt / ache
- mieć gorączkę → to have a fever
