Ethical debates about AI and technology in Korean require advanced connectives, passive constructions, and formal obligation structures.
Key grammar points:
- 그럼에도 불구하고 — "Nevertheless" — used to present counterarguments in ethical debates.
- AI가 편향성을 보인다. 그럼에도 불구하고 많은 기업이 이를 도입하고 있다. (AI shows bias. Nevertheless, many companies are adopting it.)
- -하여야 한다 — Formal obligations in tech regulation.
- 기업은 개인정보를 보호하여야 한다. (Companies must protect personal data.)
- -(으)ㄴ데도 불구하고 — "Despite the fact that..." — concessive clause for ethical tension.
- 위험이 알려져 있는데도 불구하고 규제가 미흡하다. (Despite the known risks, regulation is inadequate.)
- -되어지다 / 받다 (passive) — Describes how people are affected by technology.
- 개인 데이터가 무단으로 수집되었다. (Personal data was collected without authorization.)
- 사용자가 알고리즘의 영향을 받았다. (Users were influenced by the algorithm.)

많은 기업에서 개인정보가 무단으로 수집하고 있다.많은 기업에서 개인정보가 무단으로 수집되고 있다.개인정보 is the thing acted on, so use the passive 수집되다. 수집하다 is active and needs a subject doing the collecting.
우리는 알고리즘의 편향성이 항상 경계해야 한다.우리는 알고리즘의 편향성을 항상 경계해야 한다.편향성 is the object of 경계하다, so it takes the object particle 을, not the subject particle 이.
