Key grammar: -하여야 한다 (must / is obliged to) This formal structure expresses strong obligation: 기업은 윤리 강령을 준수하여야 한다 (Companies must comply with the code of ethics).
그럼에도 불구하고 (nevertheless) concedes a point while maintaining your argument: 비용이 증가한다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 지속 가능한 경영을 추구하여야 한다 (Costs increase. Nevertheless, we must pursue sustainable management).
-되었다 (passive perfect) describes outcomes: 부패가 적발되었다 (Corruption was uncovered). This passive structure is essential for formal reports.
-(으)ㄴ데도 불구하고 (despite) highlights contradiction: 내부 고발이 있었는데도 불구하고 조치가 취해지지 않았다 (Despite the whistleblowing, no action was taken).
Korean corporate culture values 체면 (face-saving), which can sometimes conflict with transparency. Understanding this tension helps you discuss ethical dilemmas with nuance at the B2 level.
