# Grammar: -(으)면 좋겠다 — Expressing Wishes

-(으)면 좋겠다 means "I wish / I hope that." It expresses a wish or hope about a situation, and is perfect for postcard-style writing.

This pattern can also express hope for a situation you cannot control:

Note the difference from 원하다 (to want something concrete) — -(으)면 좋겠다 carries a softer, more wistful tone, ideal for personal letters and postcards.

에서 marks where an action happens. 만들다 is an action, so use 에서, not 에 (which marks a destination or static location).

사다 takes a direct object, so the stamp needs 를: 우표를. 가 marks the subject and is wrong here.

좋다 ends in a 받침 (ㅎ), so the wish form -(으)면 adds 으: 좋으면, not 좋면.

For grandmother you use honorifics: 께 instead of 한테, and 주세요 instead of the casual 줘요.

어제 (yesterday) signals the past, so the verb must be past tense: 부쳤어요, not the present 부쳐요.
