Buying a Ticket in Korean
The key grammar for wanting something in Korean is -고 싶다 (want to + verb).
-고 싶다 — to want to do something:
- 가고 싶어요 → I want to go
- 사고 싶어요 → I want to buy
- 부산에 가고 싶어요 → I want to go to Busan
At the ticket office (매표소):
- 어디까지 가세요? → Where are you going?
- 부산까지 두 장 주세요 → Two tickets to Busan please
- 왕복이요, 편도요? → Round trip or one way?
- 어른 두 명이요 → Two adults
Counter 장 for flat things (tickets, paper):
- 한 장 (1), 두 장 (2), 세 장 (3)
Choosing your seat:
- 창문 쪽으로 주세요 → Window seat please
- 통로 쪽이요 → Aisle side please

가고 싶습니다 서울에서울에 가고 싶어요In Korean, the destination comes before the verb. Word order: destination + verb + -고 싶어요
한 장이 얼마예요얼마예요?Just 얼마예요? is natural. 한 장이 얼마예요 is overly literal
어른 두 명 표어른 두 장 주세요Count tickets with 장 (flat counter), and add 주세요 to make a proper request
