To tell about past travel experiences, chain events with the て-form: 京都に行って、お寺を見て、美味しいものを食べました (I went to Kyoto, saw temples, and ate delicious food). This connects actions chronologically.
Express reactions with past adjectives: 景色がきれいでした (The scenery was beautiful), すごく楽しかったです (It was really fun). Use びっくりしました (I was surprised) for unexpected experiences.
For first-time experiences: 初めて富士山を見ました (I saw Mt. Fuji for the first time). To recommend a place: 京都はおすすめです (I recommend Kyoto). To share lasting impressions: いい思い出になりました (It became a great memory). Ask others about trips: 旅行はどうでしたか (How was the trip?).
