Talking About School Schedules: 時間目 and が好きです
Counting class periods: Japanese schools use 時間目 (jikanme) to count periods: 一時間目 (1st period), 二時間目 (2nd period), 三時間目 (3rd period). Example: 一時間目は数学です (1st period is math).
Expressing preferences about subjects: Use が好きです (like) and が嫌いです (dislike): 英語が好きです (I like English). Add 一番 for "most": 一番好きな科目は歴史です (My favorite subject is history).
Describing difficulty: 難しい (difficult) and 簡単 (easy): 数学は難しいです (Math is difficult). Use けど for contrast: 数学は難しいですけど、面白いです (Math is difficult but interesting).
School schedule expressions: 今日の授業は何ですか (What classes are today?). 宿題がたくさんあります (I have a lot of homework). 試験の準備をしています (I'm preparing for the exam).
