Describing Your Home with Comparatives
है / हैं for descriptions:
- मेरा घर बड़ा है। — My house is big.
- कमरे बहुत विशाल हैं। — The rooms are very spacious.
- हमारा पड़ोस शांत है। — Our neighbourhood is quiet.
Comparatives with से ज़्यादा / से छोटा:
- मेरा अपार्टमेंट पुराने घर से बड़ा है। — My apartment is bigger than the old house.
- यह कमरा उससे छोटा है। — This room is smaller than that one.
है / हैं with there is/are:
- यहाँ एक बड़ा बगीचा है। — There is a big garden here.
- घर में तीन कमरे हैं। — There are three rooms in the house.
- नज़दीक कोई दुकान नहीं है। — There is no shop nearby.
Asking about homes:
- तुम्हारा घर कैसा है? — What is your house like?
- घर में कितने कमरे हैं? — How many rooms are in the house?
- किराया कितना है? — How much is the rent?
