Making an Appointment
Telling time in Hindi:
Hindi uses बजे (baje) after the number to say "o'clock":
💬 "तीन बजे" (tīn baje) → "at three o'clock"
💬 "सुबह दस बजे" (subah das baje) → "at 10 in the morning"
For half past, use साढ़े (sāṛhe):
💬 "साढ़े चार बजे" (sāṛhe chār baje) → "at four thirty"
Asking for an appointment:
Use चाहिए (chāhiye — need/want):
💬 "मुझे अपॉइंटमेंट चाहिए।" (mujhe apoinṭmeṇṭ chāhiye.) → "I need an appointment."
💬 "क्या कल समय है?" (kyā kal samay hai?) → "Is there time tomorrow?"
Days and time expressions:
- आज (āj) — today
- कल (kal) — tomorrow OR yesterday (context tells you which!)
- परसों (parsoṅ) — day after tomorrow OR day before yesterday
Confirming an appointment:
💬 "ठीक है, कल सुबह दस बजे।" (ṭhīk hai, kal subah das baje.) → "OK, tomorrow at 10 AM."
Canceling or changing:
- रद्द करना (radd karnā) — to cancel
- बदलना (badalnā) — to change
💬 "क्या समय बदल सकते हैं?" (kyā samay badal sakte haiṅ?) → "Can we change the time?"

आम गलतियाँ
तीन बजतीन बजेAlways use बजे (baje) with the -े ending when saying the time, not the bare stem बज

कल सुबह में दस बजेकल सुबह दस बजेDo not add में after सुबह — just say सुबह दस बजे (morning ten o'clock)
