शब्दावली

When apartment hunting, use je cherche + noun to say what you're looking for:

Je cherche un appartement meublé. — I'm looking for a furnished apartment.
Je cherche un deux-pièces près du métro. — I'm looking for a one-bedroom near the metro.

Use si (if) + present tense to express conditions:

Si l'appartement est lumineux, je le prends. — If the apartment is bright, I'll take it.
Si le loyer est trop cher, je ne signe pas. — If the rent is too expensive, I won't sign.
Si vous êtes disponible, on peut visiter demain. — If you're available, we can visit tomorrow.

The pattern is: Si + present tense, + present or future.

Chercher is directly followed by the object — no "pour" needed
~~Si j'aimerai l'appartement~~
Si j'aime l'appartement
After "si" (if), use present tense, never future
~~Le loyer est 800 euros~~
Le loyer est de 800 euros
Use "être de" + amount to state a price
~~Je veux déménager dans le mois prochain~~
Je veux déménager le mois prochain
No preposition before "le mois prochain"
~~L'appartement est disponible depuis lundi~~
L'appartement est disponible à partir de lundi
Use "à partir de" (from) for future availability, not "depuis" (since)
