Describing Your Neighbourhood
To describe what's near your home, use の近くに...があります: 家の近くにコンビニがあります (There's a convenience store near my house). For "next to": スーパーの隣に公園があります (There's a park next to the supermarket). For "across from": 駅の向かいに病院があります (There's a hospital across from the station).
To describe the area's character, use な-adjectives: この辺は静かです (This area is quiet), 駅の近くは便利です (Near the station is convenient). Combine: 静かで便利な町です (It's a quiet and convenient town).
Ask about neighborhoods: この辺にスーパーはありますか (Is there a supermarket around here?). To give your opinion: いい所です (It's a nice place). 住みやすいです (It's easy to live in).
