Hindi's verbal system at C1 encompasses highly nuanced categories that go far beyond basic verb conjugation. संयुक्त क्रियाएँ (conjunct verbs) combine a nominal stem with a light verb (करना, होना, देना, लेना, आना, जाना) to create meanings untranslatable word-for-word. The aspectual light verbs add crucial shades: देना implies action benefiting others (बता देना — to tell, for their benefit), लेना implies self-benefit (सोच लेना — to think it through for oneself), जाना implies completion or transition (हो जाना — to become), and आना implies an approach toward the speaker (चला आना — to come along). Mastering these aspectual nuances is essential for natural, idiomatic C1 Hindi.
