英语新闻写作：精准、节奏与影响力
英语新闻发展出一套明确的文体规范，如今影响着全球媒体。中文新闻也讲求“导语”与“倒金字塔”，但英文新闻的措辞和归因规则尤其值得你留意。
倒金字塔结构（inverted pyramid）
最重要的信息放在最前面。匆忙的读者只看第一段也能掌握核心，随后再按重要性递减补充细节。
Le Premier ministre a annoncé sa démission ce matin, invoquant des raisons de santé. Il sera remplacé par intérim par la vice-première ministre. Une élection devrait être convoquée dans les six semaines.
有力的导语（lede）
第一句，也就是 lede，应在最多 25 至 35 个词内回答五个基本问题：谁、什么、何时、何地、为何。
AP 与 BBC 的风格
- AP（Associated Press）：句子短、用词精炼、避免歧义。
- BBC：语气稍正式，提供更多背景，并格外重视中立性。
语域与距离感
英语严肃新闻会保持情感距离：庭审前，更倾向使用 alleged（被指称的）而非 guilty（有罪的）；对于未经核实的说法，用 said 往往比 claimed 更中性。
标题的艺术
英语新闻标题常用历史现在时，并省略冠词：
- Prime Minister Resigns Amid Health Crisis
- Markets Tumble as Fed Signals Rate Rise
表达
- To cut to the chase不绕弯子，直接说重点
- To give someone a platform给予某人发声或被看见的平台
- On the record可具名引用的正式声明
- Under cover of anonymity保护消息来源的身份
- To put into perspective把事情放入更大的背景中理解
- To bury the lede把最关键信息埋得太靠后
- To run a story刊登或播出一篇报道
- A media blackout媒体完全停止报道
常见错误
According to him, he said that...According to him, the situation is critical.重复归因：according to 和 he said 同时使用显得多余。
The source refused to comment.The source declined to comment.refused 带有指责意味；declined 语气中性，是新闻写作中的标准用法。
The Prime Minister claimed to be innocent.The Prime Minister stated he was innocent.英语新闻中 claimed 暗示怀疑；stated 则更中性。
Reliable sources indicate...Sources close to the matter indicate...读者无法核实“可靠”；应说明消息来源的性质。
The newspaper made an editorial about the election.The newspaper published an editorial on the election.社论是“发表”或“刊登”，不是“制作”。正确动词是 publish 或 run。
The journalist investigated about the scandal.The journalist investigated the scandal.investigate 在英语中直接接宾语，不需要 about；这是受法语“enquêter sur”影响的错误。
