莎士比亚式十四行诗
经典英语十四行诗由以下部分组成：
- 三个四行诗节（ABAB CDCD EFEF）
- 最后的对句（GG），即 volta：转折、解决或悖论
“Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?”（第 18 首）——转折出现在最后对句。
自由诗
不受固定格律或押韵方案的约束。惠特曼的 Leaves of Grass 是美国自由诗的奠基作品。形式自由并不等于没有结构：自由诗通过重复、首语重复和节奏形成自身韵律。
跨行句法
跨行句法让视觉停顿（行尾）与句法延续之间产生张力。济慈在 Endymion 中精妙运用：
“A thing of beauty is a joy forever: / Its loveliness increases; it will never / Pass into nothingness.”
头韵与元音韵
- 头韵：词首辅音重复——“The fair breeze blew, the white foam flew”

The volta is a type of stanza.The volta is the pivotal turn in a sonnet — typically at the couplet in the Shakespearean form, or at line 9 in the Petrarchan form.Volta不是诗节，而是修辞和情感的关键转折。
Free verse has no rules.Free verse rejects fixed metre and rhyme but constructs meaning through lineation, rhythm, and sonic patterning — it has its own internal logic.自由诗并非没有规则，而有自己的视觉、节奏和留白逻辑。
Assonance is the same as rhyme.Assonance is the repetition of vowel sounds within words, whereas rhyme requires matching sounds at the end of lines. 'Light' and 'mine' share assonance (/aɪ/); they do not rhyme.元音韵与行尾押韵不同：前者重复词内元音。
