解读英语政治话语
政治话语很少完全中立。到 C1 阶段，识别修辞策略是批判性思维的重要能力。本节用中文讲解英语政治话语。
框架化（framing）： 呈现问题的方式会影响公众看法。
- "Tax relief" 与 "tax cuts"——事实相同，联想却大不相同
- "Collateral damage" 与 "civilian casualties"
Dogwhistle： 表面普通、但目标群体能理解其编码含义的信息。
煽动性语言： 带有强烈情绪色彩的词语，用来绕过理性思考。
- "Job-stealing immigrants" / "hard-working newcomers"
Spin 技巧： 有选择地呈现信息以推动某种解释，但未必直接说谎。
诉诸恐惧： 夸大感知到的威胁以动员公众。识别这些技巧能帮助你更清醒地获取信息。

常见错误
The politician used propaganda to lie to people.The politician employed loaded language and selective framing to manipulate public perception.Lie 过于绝对；propaganda 和 lie 都暗示难以证明的意图。应使用精确的分析性术语。
This speech is full of bad rhetoric.This speech employs several rhetorical devices that obscure rather than illuminate the underlying issues.Bad rhetoric 含义模糊，缺乏分析性；应具体描述观察到的效果。
