用英语谈项目管理
在项目管理中，两种特别实用的英语结构是含 「by the time」 的时间从句，以及含 「as long as」 的条件句。
By the time…（到……的时候）
谈未来时，「by the time」 后用一般现在时，主句用将来完成时：
- By the time we reach the milestone, we will have spent 60% of the budget.
- By the time the client reviews the deliverable, the team will have moved on to phase two.
规则： 在「by the time」后，即使谈的是未来，也用一般现在时，不用将来时。
As long as…（只要…… / 条件是……）
「As long as」 引出必要条件：
- As long as we stay within scope, we'll meet the deadline.
- The project will succeed as long as resources are properly allocated.
其他实用结构
- Provided that… → 只要…… / 条件是……
- Unless… → 除非……
- On condition that… → 条件是……
"Unless we address this bottleneck, the timeline will slip by at least two weeks." → "除非我们解决这个瓶颈，否则时间表至少会延后两周。"

- We're on track项目按计划推进
- We're behind schedule项目进度落后
- To stay within scope保持在既定范围内
- To hit a bottleneck遇到瓶颈

- The deadline is tight截止日期很紧
- Stay on track用于鼓励项目按计划推进
- We are behind schedule用于说明进度落后于原定计划
常见错误
By the time we will reach the milestoneBy the time we reach the milestone「by the time」后用一般现在时，不用将来时，即使是在谈未来。
The deadline is for next FridayThe deadline is next Friday英语不说「the deadline is for」；直接说「the deadline is + 日期」。
We need to respect the delayWe need to meet the deadline「delay」在英语中是「延误」；表示截止期限时应使用「deadline」。
As long as we will stay within budgetAs long as we stay within budget和「if」一样，「as long as」后的未来条件句用一般现在时。
We need to finish until Friday.We need to finish by Friday.「by」表示最晚截止时间；「until」表示持续到某一时间。
The project is in advance of schedule.The project is ahead of schedule.固定表达是「ahead of schedule」，不是「in advance of schedule」。
