用英语表达道德判断
当你用英语讨论商业伦理时，需要一些结构来表达愤慨、不赞同和道德义务。
表达愤慨
- It's unacceptable that… → ……是不可接受的。
- It's outrageous that… → ……是令人愤慨的。
- There is no excuse for… → ……没有任何借口。
"It's unacceptable that the company ignored the safety reports." → "这家公司忽视安全报告是不可接受的。"
表达道德义务
- Companies should be held accountable for… → 企业应当为……承担责任。
- It is the duty of… to… → ……有责任……
- We have a moral obligation to… → 我们有道德义务……
表达细微差别
- While I understand the business case, it doesn't justify… → 虽然我理解商业理由，但这并不能为……辩护。
- On the one hand… on the other hand… → 一方面……另一方面……
- The line between… and… is often blurred. → ……与……之间的界限往往很模糊。
提示： 英语中，在「It's essential that he be transparent」这类表达后经常使用虚拟式 be，而不是 is。这种用法在美式英语中更常见。

常见错误
It's inacceptable that...It's unacceptable that...英语用前缀「un-」，应说「unacceptable」；不能照搬法语「inacceptable」。
The company has a conflict of interestsThe company has a conflict of interest固定表达是单数「conflict of interest」，即使涉及多个利益也是如此。
He did a misconductHe committed misconduct「misconduct」在英语中不可数；说「committed misconduct」，不说「a misconduct」。
The whistleblower has been fired for denounce...for denouncing the fraud介词「for」后要接动名词（-ing），不能接动词原形。
He was accused for fraud.He was accused of fraud.「accused」后总是接介词「of」，不能接「for」。
